I’m a web designer and developer in Montréal, QC, Canada.  I write clean, valid XHTML, CSS, and Javascript only.  I don’t design or develop sites in Flash, because I believe that the success of the Web cas come largely from its embracing of open and interoperable standards, and that sacrificing those natural strengths is almost always a bad idea.

I work with Drupal, WordPress, and Ruby on Rails.  These are powerful, open-source development frameworks that allow me to develop a site with any functionality imaginable quickly and at low cost.  I use these three different tools because they have different strengths and weaknesses, and I like to be able to pick the one best suited to any given project.

When designing a web site my first concerns are always usability, accessibility, and findability.  I always try to take into consideration the ways in which a site will integrate with the larger “ecosystem” of the Web, and with existing communities, both on- and off-line.
